Meta has announced a new set of paid subscription plans under the name Meta One, aimed at businesses, content creators, and users who rely heavily on artificial intelligence tools. The plans expand Meta’s paid services across Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
Pricing for the new Meta One plans ranges from $3 per month to $499 per month, depending on usage level and the features a subscriber needs. Meta confirmed that its main apps and Meta AI service will remain free, with additional benefits and broader capabilities available to those who choose to subscribe.
Individual Platform Plans
Meta continues to offer separate plans for each platform:
- Facebook Plus — $4 per month
- Instagram Plus — $4 per month
- WhatsApp Plus — approximately $3 per month
Bundled Plans with Expanded AI Tools
Meta has also added bundled plans that combine features from different subscriptions with expanded access to AI tools, including AI image and video creation tools. This category starts with the Core plan at $8 per month and goes up to the Premium plan at $20 per month.
Plans for Businesses and Content Creators
Meta introduced four additional tiers designed for businesses and content creators. The entry-level Essential plan costs $15 per month and combines some Meta Verified subscription benefits with the latest AI tools, such as the company’s Business Agent.
The higher-priced plans offer tools that business account holders and content creators have long requested. The Advanced business plan for Instagram, priced at $50 per month, allows scheduling of Stories posts and includes up to four clickable URLs in post descriptions and Reels per month.
The Advanced and Expert plans, the latter costing $150 per month, allow account access to be delegated to additional people without sharing passwords. They also send notifications when another account reposts the subscriber’s original content and increase visibility in Instagram search results.
The $500 Max Plan with Unlimited Human Support
The Max plan sits at the top of the new subscription tiers at $500 per month. It combines all the features available in previous plans with the highest level of access to Meta’s dedicated business agents.
The plan also offers a feature that may be particularly appealing to content creators: the ability to request unlimited human support, including the option to request a direct phone call with a company employee.
Meta’s Broader Subscription Strategy
This move is part of Meta’s expansion into paid subscriptions alongside increased investment in AI tools, especially image and video generation technologies.
Even though it remains unclear whether AI tools alone can drive users to subscribe, Meta says its initial plans have seen notable interest, with more than 15 million subscriptions and subscription trials recorded so far.
Meta does not plan to limit the new subscription services to its main apps. The company has announced it intends to expand them in the future to include the Edits video editing app and its AI-powered smart glasses, indicating a push to build an integrated subscription ecosystem around its services and devices.
